A Major Brand Returns to Cayman

After a twenty-year hiatus, the InterContinental Hotels Group and Grand Caymanian Ltd. are proud to announce that they have brought the world-renowned Holiday Inn brand back to the Cayman islands.

Located next to the North Sound Golf Club, the former Grand Caymanian Resort has gone through updating, extensive renovations and has been re-opened as the Holiday Inn Resort Grand Cayman.

Featuring 117 guest rooms and 54 fractionally owned units, the Holiday Inn Resort Grand Cayman has many updated amenities and services. The guest rooms now boast all new bathroom amenities and were redesigned to the stringent InterContinental Hotels Group standards. High speed Wi-Fi Internet service is now available in every guest suite, as well as throughout the entire property’s commons areas. The lobby and reception portions of the resort were also completely renovated to give the complex a more contemporary feel. A brand new breakfast buffet has been implemented to bolster the overall guest experience. Furthermore, a children’s activity program has been rolled out to entice families to book their Caribbean stay at the Holiday Inn.

The newly remodeled resort will also see advantages from its new parent company’s worldwide presence. Being that it is now a Holiday Inn, the resort will have access to a much more powerful maketing plan, big chain hotel resources and a vastly improved reservation system. The Holiday Inn is known the world over for its brand-loyal customer base and the addition of this chain will likely result in more tourism to the Cayman Islands. Customers that may not have looked at Cayman as a viable vacation option in the past will now choose it because it features “their hotel”.

In the past the Holiday Inn in Cayman had been known for its nightly guest entertainment options. The new management has expressed a great interest in returning that amenity to their guests. Director of Sales and Marketing Brooke Meyer stated that, “I think the brand is really excited to be back here and hoping to bring that atmosphere back”. Guests and locals alike are excited too. Welcome home Holiday Inn. We’re glad to have you back.
