Hidden Gems of Grand Cayman

So much to see, so little time often the conversation shared amongst friends trying to capture some much needed down time here in Cayman.

So little time, so much catching up to do while basking in the sun along Seven Mile Beach. It’s always time well spent! After enjoying some laughs, the views, and soaking up the rays, we cool off with a quick dip in the never disappointing Cayman water and then we’re off – the journey begins.

First stop; catching a bite to eat. our choice, Luca, right along Seven Mile Beach! It has good food, an ocean view, and great servers. Don’t miss this spot! There is nice variety on the menu, and Luca is good for a party of two or a group on an adventure.

Next, the National Gallery of the Cayman Islands. We thoroughly enjoy the collection on display, and we were so pleased to see such a nice selection from Cayman artists. It has awesome Caribbean flare and is alive and popping from the walls. This is a “must do” and FREE admission is always a nice perk!

Then we agree on visiting the Cayman Motor Museum located in West Bay. This place is amazing! It’s like travelling the world of automobiles under one roof! We were pleasantly surprised to learn that the very first vehicle to hit the pavement in Cayman was a 1905 Cadillac, and they have an exact replica on display. There is so much to see and so many RARE vehicles and WAIT, stop the press, they have the “Batmobile.” It’s so extraordinary! Who knew this treasure was right in our own backyard? The Cayman Motor Museum is a must see, don’t miss this hidden gem. It has been so very worth the trip! Our afternoon is covered with 2 plus hours well spent. Ferraris, Jaguars and Rolls Royce’s, oh my!

This has been a phenomenal day so far. Time is quickly leaving us, so our last group decision is a stop at Cayman’s own Margaritaville. We’ve heard this is not to be missed and rumor has it they’ve even got a very cool indoor water slide. So off we go, Margaritaville it is! What a treat and the simply awesome margarita’s do not disappoint, and yes, they do have an indoor waterslide. It’s a very nice touch! Many signature cocktails tantalize our taste buds with some delicious treats. Oh the joys of island living!

With the evening chasing us, it’s time to head back. look for more to come on those hidden spots right here in Grand Cayman!

We have purchased a vacation home as well as other property over a number of years using Jeanette Totten as our agent. In every instants she was very professional, extremely helpful and always looked out for our best interest. Any further real estate dealing we would not hesitate to use Jeanette in the future.
